The maps presented were developed under project 27 of the RCGI - Research Center Gas Innovation, created in partnership with FAPESP, Shell and USP (https://www.rcgi.poli.usp.br). Project 27 aims to analyze, from a socioeconomic, environmental, technical and political perspective, the prospects for introducing biogas and biomethane into the energy matrix of the São Paulo state. It was necessary to know the potential of biogas and biomethane in the São Paulo state, whose results are presented in georeferenced maps.
